PALABRA/ (culturally speaking) A PERSONS WORD
FOUR COMPONETS
- KEEP YOUR WORD (building trust, my word is all I really have. Don’t just give your word freely and loosely, when you give it, it is as good as gold. Far too often youth are given broken promises. Youth despise what they consider to be FAKE.
- DON’T HARM YOUR CIRCLE. (To bring harm to your circle, your actions, if negative hurt all in your circle, including yourself. Who is in your circle, who do you allow in your circle?).
- TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS. (We are all humans and we are all going to make mistakes. The third component allows you to reflect on this and when you do MESS-UP you can always clean it up. There are two actions required here. One- taking responsibility for the action you committed, Two- make amends, take care of it, the sooner the better.)
- POSITIVE EXAMPLE ( In this ancient teaching all you really need to do is live the first three codes of conduct, the result is that you are… you become a Role Model to others in a POSITIVE way.)
